About the event

Workshop Description

Join us for this 2 hour continuing education training that invites mental health professionals to critically explore how erotic bias shows up in clinical spaces.

This workshop challenges clinicians to confront unconscious narratives and bring greater accountability and intentionality to their work with sexually diverse clients. Through this workshop, participants will:

 • Define erotic bias and identify at least three ways it manifests in clinical assessment and treatment of sexually diverse clients

 • Analyze the influence of race, gender, ability, and cultural conditioning on their own erotic assumptions and clinical responses

 • Demonstrate increased clinical awareness by applying reflective and somatic tools that surface unconscious erotic narratives and biases
