About the event

Workshop Description

Postpartum depression and anxiety don't just affect the mind; they live in the body. For many new moms, traditional talk therapy alone isn't enough to address the deep overwhelm, exhaustion, and dysregulation that can follow birth. This training is designed to equip clinicians with trauma-focused, somatic, and nervous system-based tools to help postpartum clients move beyond survival mode and truly heal.

Through a body-centered, attachment-aware, and nervous system-informed lens, this workshop will cover:

    •    Understanding postpartum depression and anxiety beyond cognition and why these conditions are deeply embodied experiences

    •    Somatic interventions for postpartum distress, offering practical tools to regulate the nervous system and reconnect to self

    •    Working with guilt, shame, and intrusive thoughts while holding space for mothers struggling with overwhelming emotions
